BOATBUILDING
Our history is with timber boats and this is still our preferred material. However we have a depth of experience amongst our staff that allows us to tackle a wide variety of jobs. Repairs and maintenance are our most common work and we have a reputation for producing quality restorations on older vessels. Our aim is to have them looking better than new when they leave our yard and ready for their next phase of boating pleasure.
SPRAYPAINTING
Although we firmly believe the key to a good paint job lies in the preparation prior to spraying, the final coats are really the "icing on the cake" that define a good paint job from a great paint job. In our foreman Dale Collins, we are fortunate to have one the best in the business when it comes to "icing the cake" and some of our customers come from far and wide just to have him spray their vessel.
SALVAGE AND TOWING
Among the many skills amongst our staff, we also have qualified skippers. Combined with our trusty tug Kawera this gives us the capability to provide salvage and towing services in the area. Call outs range from a simple tow, right through to assisting damaged vessels or completely sunken vessels and in most cases we are then the ideal yard to follow through with the repair work.
PROVIDORING SERVICES
Our providoring services include provisioning boats boats pre-holiday or pre-season while we can also source and supply basic ships stores right through to local artisan produce from the surrounding areas. We can also supply cleaning products and provide a laundry service. Or if you prefer to simply walk-off at the end of a voyage we offer a full interior and exterior valet service.
BROKERAGE
Whilst we do not act as boat brokers, we are often fielding enquiries for boats available for sale. Our policy is to keep records and details of boats that our customers may wish to sell and refer them to any prospective buyers. This is offered as a complimentary service to valued clients as goodwill and Lees Boatbuilders Ltd are not involved in vendor / purchaser negotiations.
INSURANCE
We are also a sub agency for a leading Auckland insurance brokerage and will supply free quotes for any marine insurance.
